Why FBCS?

  • Over 45 years of ministering in the Pekin area.

    • We’re here for the long haul!

  • A caring Christian faculty, many with 10 or more years of experience.

  • A safe, ordered, traditional classroom environment instills a sense of security in both student and parent.

  • Award-winning Christian Curriculum.

    • In our elementary we use the ABeka Curriculum, produced by Pensacola Christian College and recognized for its excellence, especially in phonics based language arts. On the Junior and Senior High School levels we also use materials from Bob Jones University Press which is recognized for helping the student develop Bible-based critical thinking skills.

    • Beginning in 7th Grade, we implement Saxon Math Program which, while not a Christian curriculum, is recognized for its excellence in mathematics and used by many Christian schools.

  • Limited Class Size.

    • This provides for greater interaction between family and faculty which promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth.

    • A smaller school also provides greater opportunity for the participation of every student in fine arts, athletics, and community events.

  • Our Associations.

    • We are a part of both the Illinois Association of Christian Schools (IACS) and American Association of Christian Schools (AACS)

    • This gives us access to up-to-date training for our teachers and administration, lobbying and legal representation in Washington, DC and in Springfield, as well as competitive opportunities for the students in both athletics and fine arts.

  • Weekly chapels give our students the opportunity to hear preaching from some of our area’s finest pastors, evangelists, and missionaries.

  • A local church emphasis encourages the student to be using his/her talents and gifts for service in their local church … now!
